***Had an opportunity to purchase "Guys & Dolls", and veto'd it, as I cannot tolerate "Mumbles" doing Mr. S.'s song, Luck Be A Lady. Talk about lousy casting! That director must have been on vacation or paid off by someone!***
Hmmh - Frank Sinatra would have probably agreed with you here!
However, the Reprise album "Guys and Dolls" from 1963 (which was part of the 4 album set "Reprise Musical Repertory Theatre) is not the soundtrack of the 50s movie, but a re-production, and of course Frank sings "Luck Be A Lady". (This was the first release of Sinatra's version). So it's well worth getting, as is the whole 4 CD set of "Reprise Musical Repertory Theatre").
I don't think the original movie soundtrack of 'Guys and Dolls' (including Brando's try on the song) has been legitimately released anywhere?
