I agree, Duncan, it's a beautiful song. On their edition of
Playing Favorites on Siriusly Sinatra, the Bergmans talked about performing the song for Frank at his home. They said it moved him to tears and, said he was amazed how perfectly they captured a period in his life. I only wish he had recorded it. Barbra Streisand's version is my favorite and, Michael Feinstein also did it beautifully but, a version by Frank would have undoubtedly been the definitive one.
