Frank's Movies

You know I liked "The Naked Runner" and really got turned on to the song "You Are There" from the film. I think Sinatra was a tremendous acting talent. He believed in the naturalness of the scene and not the method acting bit. He wasn't into rehearsing the scenes to any great degree. The great films he made were Pal Joey, The Joker is Wild, Come Blow Your Horn, The Detective, Manchurian Candidate, Eternity (of course)...Man With The Golden Arm (absolutely deserving of the Oscar for that one)...High Society, Suddenly, Young at Heart, Tender Trap, Some Came Running, Hole in the Head, Never So Few, Ocean's 11, Robin & the 7 Hoods, Von Ryan's Express, ..And even Tony Rome, Lady in Cement, and some of the early ones w/Gene Kelly, Meet Danny Wilson, etc. The only "clunkers" I remember were Kissing Bandit, Pride & The Passion (ggod cast, though), Johnny Concho, Dirty Dingus Magee...But Frank's contribution to the Movie industry was certainly significant...
