I have been waiting ages for a really top quality remastered sound and picture DVD version of this movie with as many extras as they can throw in - including that famous visit to the set by Kruschev.
There are some very interesting photos taken during the recording of some of the music for the movie with Maurice Chevalier which I have in a book of photos I acquired recently -
FS, being the ultimate professional, wanted some changes to improve the score and the suits were called in while everything was halted. In the end the result was an excellent recording.
