Perhaps it is time that the
SFF issued an officially recommended list of "Gateway" albums which offer undistorted and truly exemplory performances by
FS to the curious but uninitiated listener.
Frank Sinatra let his singing do the speaking for him. It was only the various record companies that distorted his "sound" over the years which led his abilities into question.
