The greatness of Frank Sinatra is evident by this thread we are discussing. There are many songs Frank would have done well. Given enough time, we would all come up with a great list of songs we can only hear Frank singing in our minds. Beyond The Sea comes up so often, with regard to Frank, because Bobby Darin was doing Frank. This is not an indictment of Bobby Darin. (lot of singers emulate Frank). Darin did not have the greatest voice but he had a great feel for the music and knew how to put over a song. That notwithstanding, the arrangement of Beyond the Sea, as with Mack The Knife, is absolutely hip. Listen closely to the drum parts...... outstanding.
