In listening to the recent Bennett/Joel recording of NEW YORK STATE OF MIND, I certainly wish that the song had been around in the 50's during the same period that Mr. S recorded "I Can't Get Started." It's got the same feeling.

He would have also done a great job performing NYSOM in concert, especially in the '79-'81 period when he always did a song or two with his "jazz" quartet.....or Falcone could have built a great arrangement around a Charlie Turner trumpet solo.
