Yeah, there were
several cigarette brands that marketed themselves with refreshing terms with their brand names("Kool" for example) and "Oasis" was one of them. Most other makes did the same with their ad copy. They successfully made the idea of selling stinking poisonous paper-wrapped leaves to people to stick in their mouths, set them on fire and inhale their fumes is a refreshing, attractive and even "kool" thing to do.
It kills millions of people every year in this country, but it makes billions of dollars for the tobacco industry, so that makes it okay. Of course, the people it has killed and is killing bought into such lunacy. Some of them bought Edsels, too.
