"Classic Duets" booklet
I thought the booklet was very informative, loving and very poinant. I believe I even cried a little upon reading it. Perhaps some forum members are just not as "attached or consumed" as some other members, and don't feel like an "almost part of the Sinatra family" as many of us do.
It's always easy to unjustly criticize. Compliments just don't seem to want to come out of folks mouths or keyboards. As I've said on numerous postings, "You have to walk a mile in those mocasins before you know the pain and torment".
So friends, think FIRST before you write criticisms that you really know nothing about. Then re-read, edit, and perhaps even DELETE.
None of us can possibly comprehend what the Sinatra family has gone thru, is going thru, and will go thru in the future. The death of a loved family member is tramatic enough, but having a father who is so loved and adored the world over has to be a difficult cross to bear to say the least. Nancy has shown the patience of of a Saint! I KNOW I would not be half as understanding if these complete strangers were critical of MY father or my words. I only mention Nancy as she is the forum administrator. Mrs. Sinatra, Tina and Frank Jr. should also be considered as well when we write on this forum.
Just some advice from one who has been there. With age comes experience. My dear Papa always said: "Think before you speak, and look both ways before crossing the street!" I've always tried to do both in my sixty-five years!
