Do you waste Time ?

Time is one thing everyone has. Rich or Poor , Black or White , Democrat or Republican , Male or Female , Chinese or German. We all have the same amount of time. 24 hours a day. Many of us let time rule our lives. Others of us , couldn't care less what time it is. Some of us wear a watch and others never do. As they say "Time waits for no man"...."Time is the most Valuable thing a man can spend" .."Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do" ..John Steinbeck said of time "Time is the only critic without Ambition"...and the smartest man of the 20th century ( Albert Einstein) made the following statement about time " When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour , it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute- Then it's longer than an hour" and a statement about time that would fit Mr Sinatra is "Every man dies but not ever man really Lives" except Sinatra

Henry Ford said of time ...

.."It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste"... and Coco Chanel said of time , "There is a time for work and a time for Love. That leaves no other time.

Cautionary procrastination is not necessarily wasted time, but letting things ride unresolved is. One cannot be too hastey deciding which of those it is.

Time management works best with a scheduled routine usually, but sometimes the danged routine gets in the way. When you divert from the routine to seize an opportunity, if it doesn't pan out, it's just time wasted. If it does, you still have to play catch up on your routine. And get sufficient rest so the undertow doesn't drag you down.

Time is something that you're very aware of particularly when you are expecting company for dinner on a Sunday at 5pm but they show up at 7pm.

Mark, your getting to sound like a boss!!!!!

I'm retired i have lots of time, busy doing nothing working the whole day through.

I remember once at the shop that i was working in
the boss fired a guy because he took so much time to light up all the cigs he used to smoke.

About Adam

I could be wrong but I think he means that it is ironic that a thread about time could be such a waste of time. Cool!

Glad to see that you are following up on your threads and not wasting time However, in this case, I was merely interpreting what another member meant in another post, even though I may have been wasting my own time. Perhaps Mike Hou's "dash" is a good thing to live by, for all of us. Thanks Mike.

Yes Bill

"About Adam

Of course, the real irony is that Adam himself spent some of his time pointing out the irony of people who were doing the same thing he was doing. I think that's the Merriam-Webster definition of hypocrisy......just kidding there Adam.
