A friend's daughter caught a ride home from school the other day. When the driver turned left instead of right (the direction toward her home) she asked the young driver why she was going the wrong way.

Her response? "Only my left turn signal works!"

Rumor has it she finally made it home thru a series of out of the way left turns.

Do you have any silly, young drivers stories? Or old, or middle aged, etc.

Not much to do with what you originally posted Cindi, but I wanted to say how fed up I am with the lack of manners and increase of aggression on the roads these days Rarely do people show courtesy now and the lack of indication drives me nuts! I particularly get fed up with people at traffic lights (mostly men I am sad to say, but that isn't a criticism of male drivers, I am most definitely not sexist,but it's a fact that happens to be true) who want to race me off the line, Why is that? It has got worse since I have changed my car, and I get really fed up with it. The world has gone mad! I saw one guy today tooting an elderly lady because she wasn't crossing on a pedestrian crossing quickly enough, boy, does he need some lessons in manners and good driving.

The worst incident I witnessed was an elderly lady who drove the wrong way up a dual carriageway, she had turned onto it, didn't notice the no entry signs and thought it was a normal road! Luckily she was stopped in time, but she had gone quite a way, dread to think what would have happened if it had been a busy time of the day.
