HoustonMike, I was thinking of you today. Your hometown...

They will be flying piggyback passing Staten Island across the Narrows heading to the Hudson River passing Lady Liberty. What a sight this will be.

CNN is currently showing Enterprise still on the ground at Dulles.

I lived in an apartment building in brooklyn. I lived on a high floor. Looking out my windows I could see the Verazzano bridge. At night the lights look like a string of pearls. From my windows I would be able to see the Enterprise passing on her way to her final destination USS Intrepid. Things that I miss leaving my city....

You are so right, June. I left there to come here for a job and she left here to go there for a job. Must be in our genes.

She is also living in Brooklyn and commuting to lower Manhattan.

Looks like Enterprise is buttoned up and ready to go...should be a short flight once she gets going. Probably be there within an hour.

NASA is reporting it will depart on RW 30 to the west and then turning north.

The Enterprise is riding piggyback on a 747. The huge 747 is gutted inside.

The Enterprise will go to JFK until her final destination. In the month of June the Enterprise will then be put on a Barge and taken to the Intrepid in Manhattan.

A BIG WOW !!

Two great American Achievements the 747 and the Shuttle...

Enterprise flight around Lady Liberty was an amazing sight. Landed safely in JFK.

Leonard Nimoy is there.
