National Geographic Channel (used to be full of nature and stuff, now it seems to be mainly "America's Hardest Prisons" plane crashes, and serial killer documentarys). A fun time had by all.

On Eurovision for a moment though, do you think Ireland originally put those terrible Jedward characters up so they didn't win? I know they expressed concern in the past when they kept winning (with talented people) about the huge annual cost, I would have thought this year its the last thing they need? But may well get the sympathy vote as they've had one hell of a year.

Moved on to "Katie" on Livingit, an excellent look into the life of Katie Price. Definitely a bafta in the making I suspect.
Will switch to Eurovision in a bit to get annoyed about the voting

I'll give Katie a miss.

My Twitter feed timeline has 30 #Eurovision tweets per minute, and I only follow 600. That's the fastest ever.

I thought Nick would be more into Kerry Katona.

Well I caught Italy, quite liked them and those with the funny cones on their head or whatever they were, quite a catchy song, even if Graham Norton didn't agree.

Not watching the end, bored with it, I hope we do well, last time UK won I think was with Katrina and the Waves. Maybe JEDWARD will win. I didn't see them either. And even if we wanted to vote we can't, not for our own country, although some people are still trying LOL!

Did I mention in another thread the arrogance of my French son-in-law?
The whole programme conducted in English from 42 countries, only the presenter from France addressed everyone in his native language.
Naturellement. Graham Norton is soooo boring.

Yes, people have been coming on here to tell us what they don't like. One wonders why they would bother to post on a thread if they don't like the programme. My Twitter feed is alive with exciting positive tweets about it. And loads of funny stuff.

Anyway, congratulations to Azerbaijan, who won Eurovision a few minutes ago. Good song

I was hoping it was going to go to penalties.

This year we tried Blue. Next year, let's chuck a few million in brown envelopes and throw in a handful of honorary knighthoods then we might do better - or does that only work in a certain other competition?

It said on radio that Jedward are going to enter in next year's Eurovision, but it has not been confirmed yet

One does have to ask why they get publicity, they have absolutely no talent except for being irritating. At least for a change the winner had a reasonably good song, these 2 just have a beyond ridiculous appearance and jump around like twats. From a set of islands (British and Irish) which changed the world musically, Im amazed attention is given to a pair who can only appeal to 8 year olds. Fortunately they only got 90 grand for their Sony contract, Im glad I can make that without massively embarrassing myself.
