Jedward. Whooo-hoo.

No, they're not the best singers. And they're not the best dancers either. They are terribly out of sync with each other. If they were in the Beatles, they'd be on drums. But they are hugely entertaining. They are an unstoppable express train that keeps on going whether they're on stage or off. Of course, they weren't good enough to win the evil X-Factor, but winner Joe McEldery has been dropped by Cowell, as I always said he would. McEldery conformed to Cowell's rather predictable mould of what a singer should be, singing, and often ruining old songs. At 19, he has had all the lifeforce sucked out of him and he doesn't seem to have anywhere left to go. Jedward have gone their own way, and they are a breath of fresh air, and all the better for not winning X Factor. It's not always about singing, it's about attitude and entertainment.

Come on Nick. Fess up. We all know you listen to Jedward with you headphones on.

Nick. If you and I lived in a large house, you'd have to live right at the other end of it, in the Adam-the-ex-mod wing

Not at all, I would merely confiscate all your audio/visual equipment, then all would be well.

Could be a winner...

This years UK entry for the Eurovision is going to be Engelbert Humperdinck , known to his fans as " The Hump" last had a top twenty hit in the 70's ....personally I think it's a pretty good move. I like the idea very much, I may even watch it.

Give me Engelbert over Jedward any day! It will be nice to actually hear some music this time.

That's what I'm thinking Keith, he'll bring a little style and charisma to the show, unless they have him singing some hip hop or something totally out of his genre LOL!

Well it will be interesting to see and hear him but I'm not convinced he is the right choice.

I find it an utterly bizarre choice, but oddly a kind of brilliant one. He's 75, a Vegas lounge god for years and now doing this. I couldnt care less if we won or not, but theres something interesting about that choice. Along with Bassey and our host, he's probably my favourite septuageniarian (sp)

Is it eurovision time again? I'll probably find something more enjoyable to do that evening, maybe sticking cutlery into the toaster or taunting next door's rottweiler.

I never really watch the songs (and its a disgrace the misery-Princess pictures of Jedward still remain) but I do enjoy the voting, purely so I can get all "Falklands" about how everyone hates us.

I take solace in the fact that they're only Europeans.

The programme drags on, but I will flick over to the channel now and again to catch Engelbert, it'll be interesting to see what song they have chosen for him, I suppose we will find that out sometime soon.

JEDWARD are to represent Ireland again this year.

I heard today that Jason Donovan was first choice over The Hump..I think choosing our Eng was an ingenious tactic, he's loved by the Europeans apparently , hey we may even get a vote this year....

Its random like that, Hasselhoff being a huge rock star, but only in Germany always seemed strange to me. Matt Monro Jr is mobbed in the Phillipines but is lucky to get a sellout local theatre here and so on. With any luck if he has actually got name recognition should make for a more interesting result.
