ROLLING THUNDER XXV

Twenty-five years of dedication, devotion and hard work by Artie Muller and his team and I hope some of our members can get to DC this year to celebrate their accomplishments. You don't have to ride a motorcycle to come to Rolling Thunder.

I'm really going to try. Our daughter is checking out colleges in DC...that could be the weekend.

Oh! I hope the timing works out, Rick. You and your family should see this just once. And you should definitely come to the Candlelight Vigil at The Wall.

I couldn't agree more. Whether or not you know any names on The Wall, there is no better way to thank fallen comrades for the freedoms we enjoy.

Ace, where did you find the picture of the gentlemen standing with his hand on The Wall and the reflections of the Soldiers in it. I saw this poster for the first time last summer hanging in someone's office and I would like to purchase one but he did not remember where he got it. That picture gives me goose bumps every time I see it.

You are right about visiting The Wall. I have visited it several times and it always reminds me of what has been sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy in this country. May God bless and protect our

Hi, Sarah. It's called Reflections, if I remember correctly, and I found one here.

From that website (and I'm sure it's available elsewhere), "Lee Teter’s 'Vietnam Reflections' is the authentically detailed, almost photographic-quality, result of his impeccable research and passion for history. His tragic portrayal of deceased soldiers reaching out of the Vietnam Memorial to comfort a grief-stricken man is his attempt to gain perspective on the death of loved ones, and one of his first oil paintings. Proceeds from its sales, which have amounted to millions of dollars, go entirely to veterans’ groups." (emphasis mine)

I wish I had a way to get to Washington for this Rolling Thunder meet, for it is truly something I wish to take in - just to learn from those who were over there.

I love the shots that include the crowd so we can see the people of all ages and races standing together to support the soldiers. That's beautiful.

Two guys who never let me down: Don Randi and John DePatie, are coming to D.C. to help out with Rolling Thunder. With their help it really doesn't matter who the other players are.
