Dick Haymes, Dick Todd... and Como
question: I know who Dick Haymes, Perry Como and der Bingel are... but who the heck was Dick Todd? Anyone here remember Dick Todd, and what songs were notable from the period that he recorded? Forgive my lack of knowledge, and Thanks, Kathy |

Kathy..
the song is a spoof of Burke and Van Heusen`s "Sunday, Monday And Alway`s," which Bing introduced in the movie Dixie. Sammy Cahn revamped the lyrics for Frank to poke fun at the crooner rivalries of the day. Dick Todd, a Canadian singer, made a number of hit recordings from the late 30`s to mid 40`s. Taken from the V-discs, box set notes.
