I wish that Frank Sinatra had recorded this song

One of the finest obscure songs from the 1960s is “Where Love Has Gone,” by James Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn.

I recall hearing a radio interview with Sammy Cahn and he mentioned this being one of his best.

Although it was nominated for an Oscar in 1964 it is not well known. It was the title tune of a Jack Jones album.

The version that I am familiar with is by Bobby Darin. Darin was well known singer of uptempo songs rather than slow tunes. IMHO this is his finest ballad.

This would have been a great song for Mr Sinatra to have recorded using a Gordon Jenkins arrangement.
