I'm sure we have a similar thread somewhere.
Not sure what I'd say, I'd be too shy...gobsmacked even.

I probably wouldn't be able to speak but if I could I would say Your music means so much to me and I thank you for your humanitarianism(?).

I know what I would say:

I'm impressed you feel you'd be able to command his attention for that long, Rick.
![]() I guess I'd say: I'm honored to have this opportunity. Since our last meeting, I've come to know your daughter as a wonderful human being, who shares your ideals, and works hard to keep your flame. You should be very proud of her. Thank you for her, and for all you've given us through the years.

Well, that isn't bad, I have to admit. But I'm not talking to you anymore. I know you think that is a blessing...but we're through...You broke my heart, Fredo....You broke my heart. I know it was you who set me up...in my home...in my bedroom where my wife sleeps...and my children play with their toys.

I'd just smile & try to calmly shake his hand. That'd be about it.

Heck, I'd probably cry. His music reminds me so much of my Papa, and I'd probably be wishing my Papa were with me so he could shake the man's hand that he was once confused for, and whose music he loved so dearly...

I would admire him from a distance (sorry, be in AWE of him from a distance)....and if I felt brave enough I would offer my hand and probably just say "Sir".
You're teasing by even asking that question because I can't fathom the idea of being in the same room as him never mind speaking to him! I hope anyone who has appreciates how lucky they are. ciao

Todd,
You said it all and I would only add by saying to him how blessed I was to have seen you when I was a child, Frank Sinatra, appear at the New York Paramount Theater in a magical place at a magical time. Frank |
