Hi Becky

Welcome to our family.

<< I read somewhere that he thought "Something" by the beatles sung by george was one of the greatest songs ever written. >>

Why is this funny?

I didn't mean that it was funny - just happy to be part of this site. Nancy is the new show at Radiocity music hall going to go on tour.

'Something' wasn't just sung by George Harrison, he wrote it. You'll find as a general rule that the writer of a Beatle song would also sing the lead vocals. 'Yellow Submarine' and I think 'Good Night' were exceptions to this rule.

something

when i saw him at one of his concerts he said "something" was the "greatest love song" written in the past fifty years or so." he recorded it twice..slightly different versions. I played the one on trilogy for a young member of a rock group and he was knocked out. had me play it several times and it brought tears to his eyes...and this was one tough punk rocker.

there are several times when he referred to this as a great song.

i also like yesterday.

actually the only time i like these particular songs is when he sings them.

Something

I have always loved "Something" ...one of my all time favorites. It's an incredible song, sung by an incredible man ...very sexy, very emotional....brings tears to my eyes

I think there was a mutual respect

between Frank and George Harrison. Harrison was present at the recording of the 'Cycles' album if memory serves me well. I am sure that is where the pic of the two was taken.

read an interview with Paul McCartney who said he wrote a song for Frank and sent it to his office but it was returned and never recorded because he didn't like it.
