Frank Sinatras Car
Hiya doin Pal!! well back in 1980 Lee Iaccoca was putting Chrysler back on it`s feet , and solicited Frank for permission to use his name on The newly introduced[once again] Chrysler Imperial, and they turned out a Baby blue Imperial which was called the FS Edition,, I believe it came with an umbrella in the trunk and something else, there were very few made, but what a gorgeous car but you can check with Chrysler, as to how many were made, and what it came equipped with ,sorry I just don`t have all the answers, but call back anytime, glad to be of assistance from Canada, and please!! buy our Alberta Beef!! LOL

A Car Named "Frank Sinatra"?
Patrick,
Hey, Patrick, tell me about this car you say was named after <Sir>, "Frank Sinatra". You say little has been read about this. Do you mind me asking, what you read and do you have any photographs? I sure would like to see anything you have found, or atleast find out where you found what you read. Would you mind sharing this with me? As far as I am concerned, anything "SINATRA" is of interest to me! ![]() I agree with you...did he ever know how to live a FULL life! I remember watching one of the "Rat Pack" movies that were made after he was gone, and I still hear him say, "I live my life with little rules." I wish I was born a little sooner in this lifetime. I have often said, I was born too late. Thanks a million, William

Here is the coupe. LIMITED PRODUCTION FRANK SINATRA EDITION Only 279 ever made, less than half with the velour interior. This landmark car is Chryslers first all digital dash, (works perfectly) "Surround Sound" stereo personally approved by Frankie, First fuel injected,(didn't work very well, most have been converted to carbs, this one by Chrysler dealer) and much more.

Sir Frank's Chrysler Imperial
Phil,
Thank you for the awesome photographs of the FS Chrysler Imperial Series. Boy, would I like to own one. Do you mind me asking where you found these? On the internet or maybe Chrysler's Website? I have just (2) two things that come to mind when I think of Mr. Frank Sinatra: 1.) A teacher who inspired admiration and respect, and 2.) a leader who inspires by example. There are not too many people you can think of in that way in this day and time, right? Also, thanks Patrick for the written information you sent me. I bet you my bottom dollar, <which is all I really have at this particular moment>, that what was included in the trunk along with that umbrella was a Frank Sinatra style hat. That would really top things off, don't you think? Thank again! William

...Thanks Phil for those photos.
....The convertible version was never factory built. The car was avaiable for 2 years. 1981 and 1982....and your correct 279 models were sold in 1982......My cousin owned one back in the day. The car even came with a blue umbrella with Sinatra signature printed on it. The car came with emblems with the initials (f/s) on it. These cars sell from anywheres starting at $6,500 to $15,000. And yes Phil you are correct, these cars had problems with the fuel injection system......I'd still love to have one...

Becoming a Collector's Item
I recall an ad for the car; it was a short interview of FS by Lee Iacocca. Most of it was Lido promoting his foundering car company. With the severely limited number of these made, it may be a wise investment to find one of these in cherry condition and buy it. A smooth cruiser and a cool piece of automotive history. Thanx for the cool pix, Phil. Much appreciated.

frank Sinatras Car
Now for a little more history: Oh !! By the way Thanks PHIL did I start something?you could only get this car ,I`m talking dealerships!! if you had bought stock in Chrysler, which I think at that time was running about 7.50 cad a share, we at Coquitlam Chrysler, in Vancouver Canada, got one and immediately cleaned it up and put iy on the floor for display, at that time no-body was buying Chryslers they were about to go down for the third time, the car actually brought people into the dealership, so we could get a crack at selling them a car,we sold the car for full price with the option of letting us have it till we exausted the advertising of it, I remember now it came with a Frank Sinatra Cassette, besides the umbrella If I`m not mistaken it sold for about $15,000 CAD,now what I want to know is who made Frank Sinatra trilbis was it richmond bros.? because I have a Black one that exactly resembles his on the coverof Ray Colemans, autobiography endorsed by Bono can somebody tell me?
