Everything is so tentative right now because this all may end with Atlanta so nothing is being done on a large scale. We have to keep our fingers crossed that there will be other opportunities in other cities. Looks like Toronto may be the next one but it's hard to say. And of course the big dream is New York. This is an extremely difficult business, the theatre.

A lot of folks I know have either gone or are going to see it. I'm still walking on air from the whole experience!

The phrasing, the sensitivity to lyrics, the emotional timbre in the voice are so ingrained in the memory banks of many that to use an imitator would court derision.

Another one: Sinatra ‘arias’ inspire Twyla Tharp

“Come Fly With Me” is her fourth Sinatra tribute, and there’s a reason she keeps coming back to his music.

“When he’s singing these songs, they are not really pop songs. He is doing them as arias. He’s seeing himself as an actor. And the emotion he generates through these songs is much more to the point of why he’s so popular than the lyrics themselves. It’s how he sings the lyrics.”

So only Franks vocals were played and a live band replaced the actual band right?

Great track list too, were all songs played in their entirity?

He didn't. I assume there are some non-Sinatra instrumental dance band numbers in the program, such as "Air Mail Special," "Jumpin' At The Woodstock," "Take Five," and "Whirlybird."
