This one also had another favorite actor of mine: Steve McQueen. I read that Frank really liked the young actor.

Franks Films

You forgot to mention one of my favorites, How about

NEVER SO FEW, Gina, Richard Johnson Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson.
Guess I'm sentimental about this movie because its the very first movie I ever saw with my husband.

Good Story, Beautiful scenery, and Frank is gorgeous in a goatee, its also one of his movies that takes a stand against what is wrong and what is morally right.

Kiss by kiss the time ran out and never so few werethe moments left for love.

Never So Few - 1959 merged

Jazzbeau, remember I told you that I ordered the poster of Never So Few, would you believe that some rotton thief opened the poster tube took the poster and sent me the empty tube. So I'm out the poster not to mention the money. I'm chewing nails now, this is the second time this has happened to me. I'm trying to find out if post office can do anything about this.

This is my favorite non-singing Sinatra movie and the first movie I ever saw with my husband. I've been doing alot of swearing but can't put that on the forum. The ISS has no more of these posters if you know anybody who does please let me know.

Anyway thanks for your help, like I said your a true gentleman.

Never So Few 1959

Frank Sinatra , Gina Lollobrigida , Peter Lawford , Steve McQueen and Paul Henreid and Richard Johnson.....A great Sinatra performance.......It proves that even if Sinatra was never a singer ..He was still a Great Actor ...(but lucky for all of us , he was BOTH !)

Never So Few 1959

I finally did get the poster, with Frank leaning over Gina and also the DVD (this is really cool) the film is in English but it has Burmese sub-titles. They were both gifts to me last Xmas.

How they can release this as a Steve McQueen movie beats the hell out of me. Hollywood go figure!!!!

Yeah, and this was McQueen's first big movie role, too. But the box set is from WARNER and McQueen made a lot of films for Warner Bros, so I guess they wanted to include everything McQueen did for Warner in the box set. But when you look at the cover of the DVD you will see that Frank and Gina Lolobrigida get top star billing.

McQueen's Popularity..

"Never So Few", not one of my favorite Sinatra Films but being a Sinatra junkie I had to have it on DVD so I bought it at Border's today.
Just a thought, as a result of a resurgent of interest in Steve McQueen's films is probably the reason we Sinatra fans have this film finally on DVD.
There's still other Sinatra films I would like to see make it to DVD, like "The Joker is Wild ", "Can Can" , " Some Came Running" and for a laugh "Johnny Concho".
