I finally got around to watching this movie. I bought it a while ago, but I could never find time to watch it, so I put it on my iphone and watched it in pieces as I took the train to and from school.

I thought it was great! My favorite part was when Frank walks up to the camera and is basically speaking directly to the audience. Chilling!

A Bad Guy!!

Whenever I watch this movie, I find myself hating Frank's character. I have to remind myself "he's only acting."

It does amaze me that Frank could make me hate him and yes, he is scary in this film, as well. So cruel. Not like Frank AT ALL, but any actor who can make me love them or hate them is a truly GREAT actor, in my book.

I guess I'm glad he didn't play anymore really cruel characters though, cause I so love to love him

I also love this movie. was very scary!

There are many releases of this film -- I purchased one that unfortunately turned out to be very poor quality.

Gail, I was just reading what Tricia wrote when you posted your comments. It must be a difficult challenge for an actor to be so sinister as Frank was in Suddenly, which is out of character for him. It's like James Cagney of Edward G. Robinson playing killers in their movies yet both wonderful men.

I saw it on television (my local PBS station) a few years ago and thought the quality was pretty good.

I bought a VHS version at a flea market for 50 cents or a dollar many years ago. When I watched it, I found that it had been colorized. Guess what? Ol' Blue Eyes has brown eyes in this version.

I remember Roger Ebert mentioned that when that version first came out.

Yeah, everyone does a good job of acting in the film but it's Frank that makes this movie worth watching. When I first saw it, I was amazed how well Frank got into character and created a real menacing villain. Usually in these types of movies the bad guy seems two dimensional and unbelievable. Another terrific performance by FS.

Great Film!! Frank's acting is unique and different in this film and very powerful. Not one of my personal favorite Sinatra films, but it's certainly worth watching time and time again. Very incredible and believable performances. Great story too.

The look in FS' eyes is frightening in this film. He was a great actor.

Great movie. Frank's performance was Oscar-worthy.

That reminds me, time to watch it again.
