Can't wait to wrap up my dive week in La Jolla and mosey up the coast to see Frankie at the Catalina Jazz Club in 14 days. What could be better than that? (nuttin' honey).

What a portrait of a day's endeavor. Some rays at La Jolla, a drive up the golden strand, and the Sunset Strip at night for Frankie at the Catalina.

Frankie in his home habitat vicinity; formally attired, but no doubt as familiar with the surroundings as though he were in his den and in his bedroom slippers.

JOP - a perfect portrait at that! I love my California, and the Pacific Coast is one of her finest treasures. (not to mention Frankie is too!)

Happy Knight and Daze.
We have tickets for the 26th. Looking forward to driving down the beautiful Ca coast to Frank's show. What a way to spend some California summer daze. Love to watch Frankie spin his starry magic night. We always see a terrific show that brings back so many memories. First time to see his show in his own backyard @ the CB&G.
Never really went to shows as a kid. And now that I'm all grown up, 66 I really look forward to these events.
Please ... to those in the know thanks for posting those extra shows that are not on the calendar. Always love to have a reason to get outta Dodge and there is always a good reason to return to my sweet little farm.
Hey Deeva Donna I envy your dive week in La Jolla. I'll need the details. I am lunching at the Getty Villa with a friend, please join us Fri. We have tickets for 12 noon. I grew up in LA and never guessed I'd have so many good reasons to return. California treasures ya

I'll be there. Bringing some friends with me too. Friday at the Getty sounds great. Been to the museum so the Villa will be cool to see. Lunch will be needed I'm sure before the trek back up North.

I saw Frankie In LA in August and loved the show. I was looking forward to seeing him in San Jose this month but I went under the knife a few weeks ago and still havent made it home. I noticed Frankies calender went under the knife too. I'm hoping we (calendar and I) both make a come back.
I really enjoy following Frankie when I can. And will make every effort to make the SJ concert. If not then maybe the next one. I think I could make it to the Vegas show for my Bday in Nov. Anyway I'm hoping Frankies friends and fans can keep us updated on the next tours. Never been to Florida
So I'll be bumping this thread once in awhile. Just to remind us all that Frankies fans really love a reason to travel to a fabulous night with a great entertainer.

Do they still have the antique car museum in Sarasota? Or maybe it's in Bradenton.
Haven't been down that side since the seventies.

Last night was completley amazing and magical. It was pouring rain in downtown San Jose when my sister and I arrived at the California Theater around 7:50PM. I took a couple shots of the marquee and a long shot of the theater architecturally. It looks like some celestial stars got in that shot too through a small break in the rain clouds. The California Theater really is a grand, beautiful old theater building which some of the city's main historians demanded be restored.

There was complimentary champagne in the lobby as we entered the theater. Very nice. We got to our seats, and I was able to grab a couple shots before the show started. The first shot is the top of theater as I could view it. The second shot is a partial seating of the Symphony Silicon Valley (aka the San Jose Symphony).
All of a sudden just before 8:30PM people were yelling out and high fiving. We all looked around and said the SF Giants must have won tonight. A few calls were made on the cell phones and sure enough - the Giants had won the pennant! It was incredible. The whole theater (pre-Frankie appearance), were chanting "Let's go GIANTS" and the clap that goes with the chant, (when your in the park), was booming through the entire theater. It was amazing.
