Yes, it seems that both of Frank Jr's CD's were dropped off by a truck, stuck in the "S" file in stores and that was the end of that. Closely guarded secrets. Great singer and musician.

Just gave this CD a listen earlier today. It’s a great album with some wonderful insight, stories and music by Frank Jr. and I agree, it is best heard in one sitting with no interruptions. The highlight of the album is Frank Jr.’s breathtaking version of Ol’ Man River and I enjoy all the other songs, too, which makes it hard to pick only a few favorites but here they are… French Foreign Legion, Lonesome Road, Can I Steal A Little Love?, Spring Is Here, The Second Time Around, Granada, Street Of Dreams and The Most Beautiful Girl In The World. I first got this CD at the Frank Jr. concert in February but what reminded me to play the album was I recently found a copy of it at a local music store for under $10. Still, I do hope it gets re-released, soon.

Sid played excerpts from this on his show. I loved Frankie's narration.
It was almost like listening to a visiting neighbor over iced tea on the porch.

I have read on this forum that Frank Jr. is selling a different version of this CD at his concerts. Is it the same, complete cd only with different packaging? How much is he charging for this version?
I have been shopping for the original for a long time and am not willing to pay the $60 to $120 sum being asked on Ebay. Larry |

Whew, it was a tough fight Ma but we won!
I finally acquired my copy of this hard to get CD paying more than I am comfortable spending on a CD from Ebay recently.
It is worth the price. This is simply a wonderful homage from son to father that I can not say enough good things about. I particularly liked the inclusion of the song "Fairytale" which I consider a Sunday kind of Sinatra song and one that is not heard too often. I loved Frank Jr.'s comments and the inclusion of the original arrangements. Just perfect. At times it put me to mind of Frank Sr.'s Reprise album "A Man and his Music" where he commented in between songs about his career and life. If I could have changed anything about this album it might have been to add one or two more songs from the RCA and Columbia years which of course occurred before the scope of this album (music that Frank Jr. recalled). Larry PS: When this was first issued old smarty-pants wasn't going to pay retail. No way. I was going to wait until the price came down. Instead of coming down the album simply disappeared. There is a lesson here. LT |

I found the CD over the weekend misfiled at a Used CD store in the Comedy/Soundtracks section. As everyone else has said, It's wonderful, a real treausure.
The "Ol' Man River " is a real highlight for me |

This is a masterpiece! An absolute treasure, and one of the greatest tributes of all time. Frank Jr is in AMAZING top form here, and really does justice to his dad. I loved it completely. It was sort of Frank Jr's "A Man and His Music"
5 out of 5

The Man Can Sing
Picked this CD up over the weekend. Moving, touching, and swinging as all get out. A poignant and moving tribute. Marvelous.
