In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning 8. I've Got You Under My Skin 9. You Make Me Feel So Young 10. It Happened In Monterey 11. Oh! Look At Me Now 12. Night And Day 13. Witchcraft 14. The Lady Is a Tramp 15. All The Way 16. Comy Fly With Me 17. Put Your Dreams Away 18. One For My Baby 19. Come Dance With Me 20. Nice 'N' Easy Just Picked this up at Target on Friday for 10 bucks. it was a deal. i only had one cd from his Capital era years. now i have 2, and i want more!! i like his voice from this era. i wasnt too crazy about it before, but after hearing Night and Day, and World on a String, i was blown away! he sure knew how to use that voice, and it sounded silky smooth and youthfull. i guess after the 50s, his voice mellowed out a bit and deepened.

This album has sold over 1,000,000 copies since being released in 2000!
It remains on the Billboard Pop Catalog chart to this day.

The "BEST," next to "The Concert Sinatra" which is my favorite of all.
There's also some great conversations about this album if you'll do a quick search!

A milestone
"I've Got the World on a String" was the first collaboratsion between Sinatra and Riddle. There had been nothing like it before and the way the great American songbook was performed changed forever. This was followed by the two of them doing many great Capitol singles together and six consecutive albums before the first non-Riddle "Sinatra album (Where Are You with Jenkins). .
The influence of the Sinatra - Riddle sound continues strongly to this day. Ed Spiegel |

I own a copy of this CD and I think it is greatest introduction to Sinatra can get, aside from "The Capitol Years" box set. |

This is the greatest "single" disc compilation I've ever seen. I'm definately gonna pick up a copy for myself, and I agree Patti, what a great gift it would make.
If this mix doesn't make someone a Sinatra fan, nothing will. |

Love That Cover Shot
Not only is FS at the top of his game vocally on everything he recorded during this period, his blue eyes are so prominently evident as he listens to playback; and you know, from his expression, I think he was a fan also!!...I love that picture as much as the music.

Don't have this one, but I do have all of the recordings included on it, just on their original albums (on compact disc).
I have the Capitol Gold cd, I think that must have come out some time in the early '90s or before.

I love this album. It's an absolute treasure, and it's a perfect gift when someone asks you what you recommend to start listening to Frank.

Plus it's one of the most beautiful photographs ever to appear on an FS album. Actually used it on my site's welcome page...

I own a copy of this wonderful compilation, and I'll be giving it to a friend tomorrow. It's a bit funny, to be honest. I've known this guy for at least a year, and every day at school I'll go on and on about how much I love Frank's music. At first, he seemed to look down on my "obsession."
After I came back from my long weekend, however, he had some news to share. He'd been listening to Sinatra for the last few days, and developed a fondness for it. I told him I'd give provide a CD, and he replied, "That would be nice." I'll probably give him The Very Good Years too, but only after he takes in Capitol's brilliance.
