I hope FSE or Reprise would release a CD or set of CDs containing alternate tracks, just like the ones they add to newly-released CDs. This would be a perfect supplement for the 20-CD complete set. Completists would be forced to double or even triple their collections just for the alternate or incomplete takes of certain tracks, just like the version of "Have You Met Miss Jones" on "Ring-a-Ding-Ding". A supplemental CD would be a perfect solution, methinks.

A long overdue new addition to my collection which arrived yesterday (thanks Mr. Bradley for your help and advice!)

Maybe some day I'll be able to treat myself to the limited edition 'trunk' version but in the meantime this second edition set is great and I've got a whole load of Reprisin' to do

Keith, you'll discover lots of songs you've never heard before, I'm sure. Enjoy.

You're right Tina, some of the songs I've never even heard before.

Currently listening to disc 6 driving home to the coast (well, stopped for a coffee at the moment).

Oh it sounds SO good in the car.

My first post in ages, I'm posting to say I recieved the suitcase edition of this set today, it's in perfect as new condition box #15605. I got it from a 3rd party seller on Amazon UK for £140 ($226), I never dreamed I'd ever get the suitcase version, I assumed for the price I paid it'd be the newer edition, so imagine my surprise on recieving the suitcase.

Yeah markus, I'm still in disbelief, to be honest I not only expected it to be the newer non suitcase version, I also didn't expect much condition wise with the seller only describing at as "Good", so not only was I surprised at it being the suitcase, it made my day to find out it was basically as new and it even included the key.

I'm not sure that this belongs here, so mods, feel free to move.

I work near Warner's Rock Center office, and a couple of times a year, they have a big sale in their lobby. This includes single CDs for about a buck, and a wide variety of boxed sets ranging from $10 to $40. Most of what I wind up buying fits the definition of "impulse buy", since I have no interest in the majority of the stuff they have, yet still blow about $15...

Anyhow, I always hope against hope that they will have copies of some of the big Reprise boxes there, such as The Reprise Years or The Complete Reprise Studio Recordings, but I have not seen it. As one of my colleagues told me, they aren't going to sell things at such a discount that people would actually want (e.g., anything Sinatra).

I'll still be there at their next sale to see if some Reprise discs somehow filter their way in.

Tim sometimes you get lucky at an ebay auction or an Amazon reseller. A friend of mine got the suitcase at an ebay auction for about 450.00 which was a little more than the new price and it was still in the original plastic. Keep looking you might get lucky.

Actually, I already have the slipcase version of the Complete Reprise Recordings, but I would like to have The Reprise Years 4-disc set. If the price was right for the Complete Reprise set, I may have gone for it, or give it out as a gift or something.

I got lucky two months ago on Ebay as it was an auction that was listed incorrectly. $153 + postage. It looks like it was never played or opened and the seller was a pawn shop! The description said without key but I found it (in plastic) down in the CD slots # 03797

Yea I really lucked out. I bid 100 more and got it. I was shocked. My wife got a big kick out of the box. We have played it a lot.

I long to get my hands on a Complete Reprise Studio Recordings set.

Does anyone here have any suggestions for where I could get one?
