Always wondered if Frank did a take or two with the complete "Soliloqy" lyric. Maybe this CD, by its special nature, will have the answer.

WOW!!! Do you mean instrumental passages edited on the original release, so some tracks will be longer?

Yes, the upcoming Concord CD will include "California" and "America, The Beautiful" as bonus tracks.

Could this mean something more than a faithful reproduction of the original 1963 Reprise LP gatefold cover?

Have America the Beautiful and California been on any other sets aside from the 4CD and 20CD Reprise boxes? I would use the wow database to look that up but can never get the thing to work properly, and Bob will know! I know those 2 recordings are not widely known and will make a great addition here.

Nick: They are only on the 2 sets you mentioned.

No, for "California."

"America, the Beautiful" may also be found on My Way: The Best of Frank Sinatra two-disc edition.

So. EXCITED!

All of these re-issues make me proud to be a Frank fan!

Imagine if never-before-released recordings from any era were found/compiled to make a full studio album release, kind of like a posthumous thing. I would go crazy!

Have I mentioned how excited I am for this release? It's easily one of his greatest albums: it's on my revolving top 5 with Watertown, Songs for Swingin' Lovers, In The Wee Small Hours and Francis A. & Edward K.

Bob had posted the above attached extract of wording from the album cover and there are other threads here which Bob will, I am sure, be able to quote where there have been long discussions as to why, thus far, we have never really heard the sort of unparalleled sound referred to. I very much hope that this forthcoming re-release satisfactorily addresses this!

Jeffrey, you left out of your quote the most relevant part of my post:

As I indicated earlier in this thread, unofficial sources have indicated this release will NOT be remixed in the manner to which you refer. However, the inclusion of that legend/wording on the new CD cover leaves open the possibility. More likely though, it's just a matter of accurately reproducing the original LP cover. (That legend did not appear on the previous three US and EU CD issues of this album, only on the recent Japanese mini-LP cover.)

I was simply hoping to receive some official word about the tape sources for the new remix.
