Timed to coincide with the 2001 remake of the classic 1960 film, Ocean's Eleven, this collection of studio recordings helped launch a spate of Rat Pack revival CDs. Of course, the title track by Sammy was used in the original film. (A companion live CD, The Rat Pack Live At The Sands, was issued concurrently.)
The album includes a 12-page booklet of "Rat Pack" quotes and photos. All of Frank's solos are from Capitol Records; some of the Dean and Sammy material was licensed from other labels. Notable are the two duets—"Me And My Shadow" and "Sam's Song"—which were originally issued on opposite sides of a Reprise 45 rpm single (#20,128) in 1962: |

for a simple feel good compilation album that showcases the lads you can't beat this CD.
Every track seems recorded with a grin from ear to ear and the run order makes any fast forward or next button completely redundant.

For a not-very-different collection, nearly a decade later: The Very Best of the Rat Pack (2011)
