+1, did you get lost? Find your way back? Hope everything's OK!

Judging from Concord's work with "Ring-A-Ding Ding!" this two-fer Basie album is going to be phenomenal!

With 3 or 4 track recordings the possibilities of remixing are not great, and yet Ring a Ding sounds awesome. I wonder how many tracks were used on the Ellington 67 album, that particular session would benefit from a remix. LA is my lady and Trilogy would be awesome too. Wonder what they could do with those questionable mid 60's mixes found on the That's Life LP and others, with Frank centered, all orchestra on one channel and the chorus on the other....

Four-track, the last of Frank's albums to be so. Also the last one to have a mono mix made for it.

I have just pre-ordered this album on amazon.de!!! (30,- €=quite expensive actually compared to Sinatra/Jobim for example, but for us here it's an IMPORT so it's ok): Anyway I'm waiting for September...

I'd recommend in the UK to order through the American site, despite the postage distance it will still arrive earlier than anything ordered here as an import (eg I got Ring a Ding Ding from the States a couple of weeks before Amazon.uk had even dispatched theirs).
Should be a great release.

I'd recommend waiting a short time longer. All of the Concord releases in the USA have been issued eventually on the Universal Music label in Europe. I'm sure it will be available in Germany for much less than 30 Euros!

Complete Reprise Studio Recordings: Frank Sinatra & Count Basie...
I have full confidence in Concord now after all the great remastering they have done on the previous releases and my home stereo system will be swingin' on the release date. So, I'll tell my neighbors to "run for cover, run and hide".

Would have been tremendous if they could have added some of the tv numbers...but, to quote that great philosopher,Sally, "you can't have everything! Where would you put it?"

Agreed, great cover. I note that they've stuck with the typeface from the Sinatra/Jobim set, which is nice.

Fabulous sort of retro cover...love it! I really like the way that Concord is releasing the sessions....would be kind of neat to have : The Complete Reprise-Sinatra/Riddle Sessions, Sinatra-Jenkins, etc..
