Got my copy yesterday. Bob, you were absolutely right!!! What an improvement- like a 'new' album. Are there other "MFP"-issues of the "Capitol-Concept Albums"?

Not of the concept albums. Two other MFP-EMI CD issues which I can think of offhand are Screen Sinatra (1989 and 1998) and This Is Frank Sinatra 1953-1957 (2-CD, 1994; see also here).

20 Classic Tracks was also MFP, featuring 10 each from Fly with Me and Dance With Me. The cassette version was some of the very first Frank I heard around 1989/90.

"MFP-Swing Easy!" is really great. So I've just ordered the MFP UK-issue "This is Sinatra 1953-57". I've paid 10,-€ (incl. p&p). I couldn't say no....

The sound is nowhere near as good on that set unfortunately, I would go as far as to say it was poor. It is excellent on the 3 individual albums that make up that set on the Capitol Years UK box, but thats a discussion for the relevant thread.

I originally only had the EOTC edition, which is why I got the MFP CD thinking it would be the same as the Larry Walsh disc. Was amazed at the great sound quality and even mentioned it here on the forum. Shows how good the result can be when the music is cleanly transferred without any messing around with it.

I like the sound and it's nice to have three compilation albums on 2-CDs.

Wow! Just got this and am listening right now. I had the Larry Walsh disc in the original Concepts box. This one is really incredible. I had no idea there would be such a difference. Thanks to everyone for the recommendation!

My favorite song is "Violets for Your Furs" on this album

Tough to find a more wonderful recording than "Like Someone In Love!" And "They Can't Take That Away From Me" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It" aren't exactly "chopped liver!"

Fabulous, iconic work by Frank & Nelson!
