Classy is right! Man, that show was superb, I really quite enjoyed it. Nancy was marvelous! Not that I didn't have respect for the guy, but finding out he had a cold that day was even more of a topper! I can't wait for more, this is a really special treat and I'm glad we can all share in it.

Frank was in terrific form for this show. You'd never know he had a cold while listening to him here.

Probaly the greatest of all his 60's TV specials. It kicks off well Frank and Nelson delivering one of their finest and that pretty much sums up the show: Frank and some of his finest music. It definatley deserved the emmy it won.

The song choice is great and Frank looks as though he's having a blast. A Man and His Music is an essentail part of any Sinatra fan's collection. The MAHM collection is superb overall, parts 2 and 3 are equally great but I think it's the song choice here that really puts this at the top.

A Toast To "A Man and His Music"

On the day they announced the winners of the George Foster Peabody Awards (the most prestigious honor given for broadcast excellence), I was having lunch with John Horn, the former TV-Radio critic for the New York Herald Tribune. John became my mentor when I went to work at Westinghouse Broadcasting Company.

A cameraman from CBS (John's former employer) came running into the restaurant (it was the fabled 21 Club on 52nd Street) and breathlessly announced the winners. In broadcasting, the Peabody is the equal of the Pulitzer. When he 'shouted' "...and, I've saved the best for last, 'Frank Sinatra: A Man & His Music,' the place went crazy! John then ordered a bottle of Jack Daniels. His toast was the shortest, but most 'elegant' I've ever heard.

"To Frank, whose equal none of us will ever live to see!"

As we say in church, synagogue, temple, mosque - wherever - AMEN!
