i agree, love isn't finding a perfect person, it's seeing an imperfect person perfectly.

Believe me, I've learned it the hard way sometimes. Your expectations become to high, you expect nothing more than what's good for you. You've got to account also for what the oother party wants.

And then you turn forty and say screw it and start putting yourself first.

I'm single. I had my first girlfriend (well, girl who liked me) when I was 7 and she dumped within 2 years. Part of it has to do with the fact that I'm incredibly shy and awkward around women, another half of it is the women who I'm generally surrounded with have less than desirable personalities, and another part is that my standards are rediculously high.

That being said, I can't say I'm unhappy. Sure, I definitely want a relationship, but good things come to those who wait.

Don't worry

Keep your standards ridiculously high, Anthony, and just give yourself a little time. Another good piece of advice is stop looking and she will find you.

ha relationships...i was a fool to think it could last. After many many unrequeited loves the poyfect girl found me! We went out for 2 glorious months, she told me i was the most amazing guy ever, she ment it. She had a 3 year relationship before me and a few randoms. She was my first girlfriend...I fell hard and didnt get back up. She left me, and I thought man I didn;t think this could happen to me. It did...and well I can sit and cry but that's no good. I can still find something and someone. The hopeless romantic in me isn't just done yet!

Well, on the lighter side, I've been in a relationship now for 2 years and three months. It's a wonderful relationship; though hard to maintain. It's like what Woody Allen wrote for "Annie Hall". "A Relationship is like a shark. It has to keep moving. If not it dies".

It's tough but I love my Mrs. and I wouldn't change it for the world, except for the excruciating visits to the mall.
