Newcastle United 1-2 Manchester United

Goals by Van the Man and Paul Scholes cancel out Alan Shearer's first half header, another classy subs' performance by the prodigy Ronaldo.

Not merely the English style, guys

Tonight in Hamburg: HSV against Bayern Munich. I was there. Unfortunately my guys (HSV) were beaten 2:0, but oh what a fun it was nethertheless. A crowded stadium with 55.500 people:

New striker Marty?

A good result for the Reds and another superb captains role by Mr (no nonsense) Keane.

I hate Oliver Kahn!

My side is climbing the table.

Isnt football great.

The Champions League

Well the European Cup returns at last, this is going to be the big test for the New Improved Chelsea (although without a seeding they seem to have found themselves in one of the weaker groups, wonder if any UEFA officials have new cars courtesy of Roman's millions). Anyhow United start off with the Greeks (won't even attempt a spelling on that one) and we've got the Rangers games to look forward to as well. Im feeling quite magnanimous today so wish all the British clubs well for the first round.....except Arsenal of course, for whom I wish nothing but heartache, terrible injuries and early exit. (what a result for Harry, Teddy & the boys on Saturday)

Business as Usual (again)

Tony,

Manchester United 5-0 Panathanaikos , and the pick of the goals by Nicky Butt, great to see him on the score sheet yet again, a confidence building clean sheet in Europe for the young American and a first for Djembe Djembe. Job Done. And the group is British led too with Glasgow's blue side second. Good away win in Prague for the King's Rd Millionaires as well. Here's Nicky's goal.

WBA

Our first defeat after 6 straight wins last night Tony!

We are undoubtedly the strongest side in Divsion 1 this season.

And Wolves are undoubtedly the worst team ever to play in the Premiership.

Isnt football fun?

Oh dear, what a shame .....

Inter stun Gunners

Arsenal 0-3 Inter Milan

Arsenal were humbled at home against last season's semi-finalists Inter Milan.

The Italians destroyed Arsenal with a stunning first-half display in which they scored three times and could have had more.

Julio Ricardo Cruz, Andy van der Meyde and Obafemi Martins grabbed the goals, with Thierry Henry seeing a penalty wonderfully saved by Francesco Toldo to add to the Gunners' misery.

Wenger's pretenders had no answer to their awesome opponents and must now face the reds at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Acrobatics by Obafemi Martins ( I Just Love this game )

and....

I'm at the Theatre of Dreams for Sunday's game, and anything over a 2-1 home win will be fine by me. Celtic were extremely unfortunate in Munchen, shades of Ronaldhino and David Seaman for Bayern's second...
