I'll be sure to remember that, Dina. Fortunately, the Big Ten Championship Game is coming up this coming Saturday Night on Fox Broadcasting. I'll tune in, just to see if Sparty's charges win - or if the sons of Bucky Badger should pull away with the trophy.

Just another reason we should have a playoff...

People are arguing that even if LSU would lose in the SEC Championship, they should still be in the title game because "they've already proven they're good." Now, granted, I know LSU is a scary team. I witnessed them in person beat WVU earlier in the season. But the main argument the BCS promotes is that "every game matters." There's apparently a difference between an LSU loss early in the season and an LSU loss now. I just don't think this system accurately and fairly gives the world a #1 vs. #2 matchup.

Chris, I'm rooting my rear end off for a Georgia victory on Saturday! If that happens, some enterprising bcs hack will try to combine Georgia players & Alabama players, and this squad would play LSU for the bcs championship! I'm being facetious, but just watch the excuses & vitriol fly as they decide on the nation's two best teams! The whole thing is laughable (but I do wish that Pitt were part of the equation)!

That's the opposite of what they're saying about Michigan State. It would matter more if they lose to Wisconsin Saturday than it meant for them to beat them earlier this season. As I mentioned before, MSU also handily beat Michigan but, UM may get an at-large BCS slot if MSU loses Saturday. Those BCS idiots manipulate the rankings to get the matchups they want regardless of logic and fairness!

If my horrible Pitt team beats Syracuse on Saturday, their record would be 6-6, and they become "bowl eligible." IMO, no team, and I mean NO TEAM, should be chosen to play in a bowl game with a 6-6 record! It's a travesty, and never, for one second, do I buy the argument about "the seniors deserve to go to a bowl!" That's unadulterated BS! If you don't have a winning record, stay home!

It is all about money, and the funny thing, most teams lose money going to bowl games.

I am hoping Georgia wins as well. But I think it's going to be LSU v. Alabama anyway.

Today I learned that UCLA would be bowl eligible were the Bruins to win the Pac-12 Championship - with a 6-7 record.

That would be shameful to grant the Bruins a bowl berth with that record.

So I'm watching WVU vs. USF on ESPN, and the announcers mentioned how one of the USF players could sing opera. So they showed a clip of him singing...That's Amore, by Dean Martin. Which is NOT opera.

Just goes to show that sports commentators need to stick to their day job.

If LSU does meet Alabama again, I hope the citizens of Louisiana and Alabama enjoy the game! And no matter how hard it tries, ESPN & ABC will not be able to persuade viewers in the Northeast, and other areas, to watch this game!

I couldn't agree more, Stanley - this whole BCS mess is a farce, and not a very entertaining one at that!

K State finished 10-2 and they have a lot opitions, a lot of things need to happen for a BCS bid, If Ok State beats OU in Bedlam,It could happen, depending on where TCU ends up in the poll , but if OU wins, KState would get a share of a conference title. Either way, It looks like Cotton Bowl or Sugar Bowl, not bad for a team I thought would be lucky to 7

Big disappointment in MSU Spartanland. A stupid, lame penalty in the last two minutes pretty much cost the game and the championship.
I only hope the fact that it was an exciting, close game will bode well for MSU when the bowl invites are handed out.

Dina, I think MSU will go to a "good bowl," considering their great season, and close finish! It also helps that Houston, VA Tech, Oklahoma, and Georgia lost. I won't watch a second of LSU-Alabama!

4 of the top 10 teams did not make it to the BCS. But K-State made the Cotton Bowl and has a good match up against Arkansas. That should be a better game than some of the BCS match ups.

As predicted, the Michigan Wolverines received a higher ranking and a "better" bowl even though they lost to MSU during the regular season. MSU gets the Outback Bowl as a consolation prize for losing in the conference championship game.

Now THAT is what I call a great performance! WVU scores 70 points in our Orange Bowl win against Clemson

We had a great time at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas the other night. So happy that my Razorbacks beat K-State. We ended up finishing with a 10-2 record (only losses were to 'Bama and LSU). Not too shabby when you throw in the Cotton Bowl win on top of that!
