New monitor headphones, though the model is about 5 years old, the sound is really nice.

Same here. Comes with a teddy bear and some chocolates which I hope she brings home.

My Medical Terminology textbook and a medical dictionary. I also pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition, deluxe physical edition and the regular edition of Madonna's MDNA. Downloaded the new single and video, Give Me All Your Luvin' as well.

a little spray paint and sandpaper to resurrect an old rusty file cabinet. The interior is good, just rusted on the exterior. Sanded and primed it today.

Mine was a "Baby Einstein" Baby Neptune Ocean adventure gym for my granddaughter. It seems the only things I buy these days are for her.
Vittoria watched Baby Einstein for over a year every evening before going to bed; which means Anna and I also watched Baby Einstein, for over a year, before going to bed. The Baby Neptune episode, with the turtle, duck and octopus, is one of our favorite episodes.

Oh! I didn't know about those, Jake. What I got is this colorful little mat, play gym thing with fish all over it. Baby lays down on it and looks at the fun things hanging from the straps. It includes a mirror and a lighted, animated aquarium that plays music which I know she will love.

KINDLE Fire ... I can surf the Web (sinatrafamily.com), read my E-mail, read a book ... while listening to the "Sounds of Sinatra."

(Using it now.) My laptop feels neglected.

Last night's whimsical purchase upon browsing of an electric guitar (it's a lackluster flat black, but I don't care) on sale 'cause it had a crack in the edge of its solid body, and a $30 second-hand amp. Maybe I'll paint the guitar a high gloss turquoise leaning toward green.

Everything I buy these days is for my little one. I know I'm getting old because when someone asks me what I want for a birthday or something I sound like my dad, "I don't want anything!"

The last thing I bought for purely selfish reasons was a bottle of Saldo zinfandel by Orin Swift.

I can't wait to try it!

Yeah, plus the franchise has these videos, usually about a half hour long each, on various themes, like Babies Neptune, Shakespeare, van Goth (cutely renamed "van Goat" with a bandage over one of the goat's ears), Monet, da Vinci, and so on. Nice thing about them is they use simple words, lots of classical music, visual material centred around puppets and real location and people shots, close-ups of toys, which keep baby's attention. I think they're well done!

This week I got new eyeglasses - seems like all of a sudden, my eyes need some help. I decided to wait on the progressives for now, though, and just go with some reading glasses.

And today, I received in the mail a CD set I ordered - "Peggy Lee and Benny Goodman, The Complete Recordings". Can't wait to listen to it.

Overall, purchases are few and far between for me nowadays. Money is so tight now. Sigh.

Nancy, will you be playing some of it on NFF?
(off subject comment...last night Nancy, I dreamed I went to a dinner party at your house!)

A new reading lamp for my bedside table. Trouble is, I stay up too late reading and hate getting out of bed in the morning.
