Old television shows

Good morning from a part of The American Midwest-USA:

Yes there probably is another coverage of this subject way back somewhere.....

I never know when our cable service is going to show something from the distant past, but these are the ones I like:

RAWHIDE
HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL
THE HONEYMOONERS
FAWLTY TOWERS
ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
KEEPING UP APPEARENCES (sp)

But what's wonderful is that they are selling box DVD's of lots of stuff, during this past year I have just savored the sets of SEINFELD, THE HONEYMOONERS, LAW AND ORDER CI AND SVU issues....all without the commercials....but, believe me, chores are not being done when I pop one of these babies in......

Carrie, what a lovely picture. I learned to swim in Lake Erie..my dad just tossed me in and said "go" it was amazing....I think it was part of my recovering from polio therapy.....

I NEVER get tired watching Seinfeld, and I know I've seen every episode at least twice and some three or more times.

I also never missed Steve Allen, nor the Honeymooners.

I'm not proud of this, but it seems like the oldest shows I'm watching are Seinfeld and reruns of Sex and the city, which I didn't see the first time. Surely I'll think of something else. I do watch old movies. I love movies when Bette Davis or Joan Crawford play devious women.

Grace - I'm with you. I've see every episode of Seinfeld at least twice. I have the dvd's and I put one in while I'm making dinner.

Sometimes I accidentally catch Fresh Prince of Bel Air. That show was so funny. I used to watch it everyday when it was on regular tv.

Speaking of Columbo, one of the funniest moments from the Dean Martin roast of Frank was when Peter Falk came out of the audience in character as Columbo!! Absolutely terrific stuff! And Mr. Sinatra seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it!

It does in my book as I was only 2 yrs old going into the 80's...

Some of my favourites from memory (bearing in mind I was a kid!)

Highway to Heaven
MacGyver
Flipper
Skippy the Bush Kangaroo
The Bionic Woman
Fraggle Rock
Knight Rider

And you won't know these 2 unless you're Irish:

Bosco (a genderless rosy cheeked puppet in a box)
Wanderley Wagon (too screwed up to explain, I'm still mentally scarred)

What about Gentle Ben? I seem to recall endless episodes of them, and I mean endless, when I was a kid, can't actually remember if they were any good or not, something about a slightly annoying kid and a massive bear.
