Right now...what CD is in your home or car CD player?

I'm listening to Liza's new CD... Liza's At The Palace. I went to Target and called a few other stores before I found a Best Buy that got one copy but the searching was worth it. What a great album!

It's a very good CD. The only problem I have with it is that it's a little deceiving.
It is NOT a LIVE recording of Liza at the Palace, her immensely successful engagement in NY, at the end of last year. It is a studio recording of the songs that she did in that show. Although she sounds great, I would've liked to have had a more true reminder of her greatness on stage the night I saw her.

I got this from Amazon yesterday, but haven't listened to it yet. Today!

Also in the package from Amazon yesterday was the new Rodgers & Hammerstein's Allegro- First Complete Recording with Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Norbert Leo Butz, Marni Nixon, Liz Callaway, Judy Kuhn, Nathan Gunn, and others. I did listen to it and liked what I heard (my ears perked up at snippets of "Mountain Greenery"), but this is the kind of thing you have to listen to with your full attention (as opposed to having on in the background when you're doing other things like reading the forum). It's a gorgeously packaged 2 CD set with 80 page booklet of R&H's controversial unsuccessful musical created at the height of their powers in 1947. I'm looking forward to "getting to know" this one because while I've read much about it and known of its existence forever, I've never listened to it until now!

Yeah, I thought it would be a live recording too but the studio versions do sound great. I'm listening to the CD right now.

Allen, I have those Liza albums on record from '68 and '69, some of her best stuff.
Right now I have on my cd my own homemade Sinatra cd, Sinatra 4 of 5, which covers the years 1963 to '68. It starts with Soliloquy and ends with Cycles.

I agree, the songs from Capitol and A&M are my favorite studio recordings by Liza.

Have listened to it daily since I bought it. Transferred it to my MP3 and listened while reading outdoors on Saturday. Nice day made all the nicer for the music and a good book.
