Thanks.....but they're not....its just one of those niggly work arounds I seem to be doing a lot of to get full use out of it.

Off topic I know, but I like being able to video something on my fairly basic digital camera , and transfer it directly to my iPad using the Apple camera adapter, ready to watch in seconds, without having to change the format etc.

The SKY APP is fairly handy too, great for giving you all the TV listings and allowing to " Remote Record"

Nick - the VLC Media Player app will let you play any AVIs. It's free too!

Being rather not very well educated incomputer technical matters, I'm not sure how this will work. But, if it doesn't cut into my usage plan, it sounds really neat!
Actually the iPhone new software (available March 11) has a feature called "Personal Hotspot" which allows your iPhone to become a secure wi-fi. Any device that has wi-fi capabilities should be able to connect to it, not just the iPad2.

Ah - I'm not surprised. I was quite surprised they let it through in the first place. Lucky I got it when I did. Sorry that's not much help to anyone else.

Already available on the Verizon iPhone 4, but it's not free. It costs $20 per month extra for a 2 Gb data limit shared among all WiFi devices linked to your iPhone:

This is quite a good APP "Art Studio" it had some positive reviews.. lots of ways to create paintings, drawings and lots more, if you like a bit of a doodle....Half price at the mo.

Did this a bit earlier, OKAAAY it's my first attempt LOL! But I'm sure I will improve and if I don't , no matter.. It's only a bit of fun, and quite difficult using a finger!! <-I just wanted to use this smilie..

There are quite a few FREE APPS at the mo, to celebrate the launch of the iPad 2 I believe.

One of the free ones is "App Start" it guides you through hints and tips on how to use the iPad , great for the novice iPad user , and the ones who are a dab hand at it too.

Free until the end of today.

I'd also be concerned if I'd just spent 600quid on an ipad and needed an app to tell me how to use it...

At the moment on my iPhone and iPad a FREE APP called HOP, it has been created to coincide with the new Easter movie release appropriately called "HOP - The Movie" <- pretend that's a bunny

Apparently there is another game with a similar concept called DOODLE JUMP....Both for kids maybe , but very addictive. The graphics are better on the iPad, and I don't think DOODLE JUMP is available for the iPad just yet.

Anyone who saw this week's Click will have seen Kate show Navfree, which turns your iPad, and I think iPhone, into a full-feature Satnav. Yes it is free and it is a proper Satnav that looks glorious on the iPad. It's free, so worth a try
