After listening to Nancy talk about "Love With A Proper Stranger" today on NFF, I was hoping to watch it. But it isn't out on DVD.

Amazon has some copies of the DVD available- used or new. It probably didn't sell well when it was released.

Really? I didn't see it, only vhs. Thanks, Sally.

[added]

I looked again and didn't see it. Love with the Perfect Stranger but not Love With the Proper Stranger. I did sign up to get it if and when it becomes available.

I have always gotten those 2 movies confused for some reason. I haven't seen "Love with a Proper Stranger" in years.

Watching "Desk Set" instead. Can't go wrong with Hepburn and Tracy.

Sure can't Susan and "Desk Set" is one of their best. Of course I am biased because she plays a librarian.

Susan, I'm going to transfer Love With the Proper Stranger from my VHS for you. It's a must see movie, especially if you're a Natalie Wood fan. It's her best, I think.

Definitely a Natalie Wood fan. Thank you so much.

I would buy it but no longer have a VHS player.

The Byron Janis Story, a documentary of this peerless pianist. Bursitis and eventually arthritis in the hands almost quieted his talent, but extensive treatments including five operations brought him back from a medical exile to regain the heights he had scaled before.

A very modest and unassuming man, his inner strengths are incredible. His wonderful marriage and partnership with Maria Cooper (Gary's daughter) is highlighted, as well.

One of my favorite piano pieces, Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," and one of the most difficult in the repertory, is performed by him here. Parts 2 and 3 are there, too.

Jeeves & Wooster P.G. Wodehouse's "what ho!" jazz age world of upper class nincompoopery and countless fearsome maiden aunts painted in deliciously droll colours by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie as the eponymous resourceful valet and his rather dim gentleman.

From the Warner Bros. Archives and released on DVD for the first time are 3 of Errol Flynn's comedies: "Never Say Goodbye", "Footsteps In The Dark" and "Four's A Crowd".

Also available Flynn's only "Film Noir": "Cry Wolf" with Barbara Stanwyck as well as his memorable portrayal of "Soames Forsythe" in "That Forsythe Woman" with Greer Garson.
