Nancy, why did you sell that beautiful house where you lived in. I live in an apartment for 30 years and I'll be very sad if someday I will have to leave it.
Sorry for my question.

Think Manchurian Candidate....it's Leslie Parrish.

Possibly the late, Bobbie Martin ("For The Love Of Him")? I know that she did several USO tours with Bob Hope.

Might be Bobbie. Definitely not Leslie.
[added] I just googled Bobbi Martin and it's not she.

Seems there are several websites in the hunt! Some other names have come up, Joanna Moore being one that we haven't mentioned yet, but she's taller and older than this girl. Ann-Margret's name came up as well, and there is a resemblance, but Nancy would know if that's who it was.
I wonder if it was a Dodger player's girlfriend (or one of the other stars' girlfriend) who was asked to join in the photo-op.... [added] A post on the StraightDope.com website says, "She's wearing #28, and Wes Parker's girlfriend at the time was supposedly a Broadway actress...." Maybe that's a clue.

Shirley Eaton was a British actress but she may have been in the US at that time. Eaton was the girl covered with gold in "Goldfinger".

I don't think so it's Shirley, Ronald.

I was hoping we could find her in this news footage from Dodger Stadium but no luck. It's fun to watch though.

It's fun, isn't it? And boy, it brings memories flooding back, (except for that girl's name.)
![]() Marty, you're right. If we could find a Phyllis questions page, she might know the answer. I know that Jack Haley, Tom Mankiewicz and Roddy McDowall would know but sadly they can't help us. I just sent the picture, plus one other, to Robert Osborne. Maybe he can help us.

I know this is off the subject but just to say I love Phillis Diller and always remember she was on a chat show over here and she said if you want to wake up in the morning with a smile on your face go to bed with a coathanger in your mouth hahaha brilliant. Sorry Nancy to hi-jack the thread x

Trying so hard to figure out the mystery.
At first I thought it might be Kathy Kersh but on closer look the face is different.

The question about who's in the photo is bugging me, the face looks so familiar, it'll come to me soon, I hope.

Hi Nancy,
My Father-in-Law is very limited in his musical taste! Apart from yourself he only likes Lee Hazlewood, Mickey Newbury, Duane Eddy, Jerry Lee Lewis and Mike Oldfield. He's actually off to see Duane Eddy later this month. Have you ever performed with Duane Eddy (just wondered due to the link with Lee Hazlewood) I believe you're a fan of the Beach Boys. Are you going to catch them on their 50th anniversary tour? |

Duane and I are very good friends and have worked together a few times over the years. The last time was in Nashville where we recorded his song, "She Won't" for the Nancy and Lee 3 album.

Many thanks, I'll have to check if he's got it. I hope he has, it only seems to be available as a download currently and he doesn't use MP3's, laptops etc. Most likely does have it though.
