The house sold a couple of months ago, my realtor was very discreet and nothing was sent out until my escrow closed - and the broker asked permission before giving the okay to the news item. I think it was handled very nicely.

The square footage is wrong: 6900 not 8100 and my broker did not also represent the buyer, she only represented me. No matter how you try they always seem to get things wrong.

As long as you're satisfied, that's all that matters.

It is such a beautiful home. Designed and decorated with comfort and taste. Your new home with be just as beautiful and welcoming as this one - just like its owner.

Is that the new home, Nancy? Or the old? Either way that's beautiful.

You got a big enough vacuum for that joint? You'll need a few Swiffer dusters too. How about a garage workshop?

It's my old house, Greg. I mentioned above I would never put pictures of my home online unless it were not mine anymore.

My five favorite features:

1) the spiral staircase
2) the balcony overlooking the pool (indifferent about the pool)
3) the curved driveway out front
4) the arched doorways between each room
5) the separate private guest accomodation

Yes, it's a castle; but what huge maintenance. Seven toilets to service, all those beautiful potted trees to water, pool filtration. You'd need a Rochester, a Hazel, and numerous weekly consulting service visits.

I'm a fan of those features also John, and I absolutely love the bar!

What a stunning home, I hope the new owners keep it looking so well.

The balcony and pool bring a funny thought.

In northeast Philly on the Boulevard below Cottman, we used to have Boulevard Pools. These public pools were there since World War I, right up to the Vietnam War days when I used to go there as a teenager. I used to jump off the ten foot high dive into the ten foot deep pool. For some reason, I was chicken to dive. Sadly, since the early seventies, they've been replaced by a new car sales lot, Northeast something or other, was one of the big three, then another.

Anyway, can you picture some fool jumping off of Nancy's balcony into the pool?

If I had that pool and that balcony I would do it every morning.

When my daughters were in high school, they had a bunch of their school friends over for a pool party. I was sitting in the den reading the paper when I heard a huge splash. Was out of my chair in time to see the second one. Their pals were jumping off the garage roof into the pool!

Makes it hard to decide whether to ground them until they are 25 or marvel at their inventiveness and then ground them.

I have an old home movie of relatives doing that at a party by their house. I can almost hear their parents yelling in it, even though the movie is silent. Didn't seem to stop them though...

Good luck with the new house, Nancy. Hope it will feel like home for you.
