Here's a great video of Nancy singing "Your groovy self" from Speedway with Elvis. I love it

I've always loved that song! Nancy was so cute in this movie. To me, it was more of a Nancy vehicle than an Elvis one, she was the real stand out. Of course, I'm partial.

I agree, Roy. Nancy is a real highlight of this movie. Thanks for the link, Mel. I love that performance.

I don't care what you say Nancy. I like Speedway. Never liked Elivs Much. As for the Cast you make up the differance.

Plus It's cool for me to watch shots of classic Nascar. The World 600 was run two weekends ago by the way.

A friend of mine was a crew chief for many years was more then likely there during the actual racing that was used in the moive.

I don't mean the staged racing action.

The only two reasons for me to watch.

The only good thing about Speedway was Elvis at his peak, in his prime. He was beautiful. This movie and his "comeback" special were his zenith. I mean how gorgeous was he then. WOW! .

Speedway was definitely one of Elvis's better movies. Bill Bixby was always a favorite of mine. So with Elvis, Bill and Nancy, you're bound to have a good movie

The only problem I had with Youtube was, and I remember thinking the same thing when I saw the movie a couple of months ago, Nancy whips the jacket off, very promising, and then thats it. What a rip off.
Nancy it wasnt the acting in that film is was weak story lines that Elvis was forced into so that many people could get their pound of flesh out of him. I really appreciate the guys talent but I was never a fan, I always thought of him as sad.
As for the film it is harmless and I certainly do not mean any disrespect by that but it is like thousands of other movies where people want to escape and not give a damn about things for 90 or so minutes. We, as fans, enjoy those things. You, as the artist, view things from a different point of view.

Elvis is not the only person who looks great in this movie. (Calling no names.)

I watch it because I always find 60s beat groups in tight trousers rather appealing.

I hope that I wasn't offensive by my remarks, Nancy. I find that there is now a new generation that is discovering you and your music.

I admit, "Speedway" wasn't made to win a trophy. But it was fun.

I just got a call: "SPEEDWAY'S ON!" so I turned on TVLand and there was Nancy singin'. This is my first time seeing this movie... it's pretty groovy.

My favorite part of the movie. I never was a fan of Elvis, so I watch the movie just to see Nancy.

Speedway is on TCM right now. It is so cute. Nancy and Elvis look terrific. I love TCM. They are showing the film in letterbox.
TCM is having an Elvis Presley marathon today.

    Smile Speedway

Today a friend of mine at my work gave me this DVD, named in portuguese "O Bacana do Volante" (something like "The Cool Guy from The Wheel", like Gerald translated some posts ago).
    I´ll watch this night.

My favorite song from this picture has to be "Who Are You", it's so nicely sung by the great Elvis Presley

Nancy looks fabulous in this picture, really hot

    Yeah, he really was!
I mean, most people are always pickin' on the films Elvis did, but they were intended to be just fun. Of course the kind of entertaining in this movie is sort of shallow, but in my opinion it's well worth seeing and it has it's share of good music.
