Marty, it sounds like you've been spending a lot of time on I Can't Grow Peaches On A Cherry Tree

who could blame me,
the entire album is so flavoursome, Susan, one finds oneself stealing a nibble at "Summerwine" and suddenly you've sat down for the full feast and all ready for second helpings.

It's ironic this would come up today, Marty, as I am working on a list of my music that would be appropriate for the Siriusly Sinatra channel, and some of these are on the list... temporarily anyway.
Thanks for the nice comments everybody.

This is my favorite album by Nancy and I listen to it a lot. Even the bonus tracks are excellent.

MORE OF THE DEFINITIVE NANCY SOUND
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry, but I'm really on a roll here. Let's look at the songs with that wonderful definitive Nancy sound on this album!!! We have: Step Aside - Nancy uses her "spunky" voice again (see How Does That Grab You for a definition) Summer Wine - absolute classic Nancy & Lee Shades Tony Rome (from the CD) Hutchinson Jail...the best example of all!! Also the cover versions of On Broadway and Wishin' & Hopin'....better than the originals!! You Only Live Twice, as a Bond theme, is in a class of it's own. Nigel ![]() ![]() ![]()

"The End" is my absolute fave on this album
It shows Nancy's softer side and the range of her voice as well as her gift for interpretation. I have created a compilation of songs that I call "Serious Girl" that contains some of her best ballads and more serious music. When I play it, people are always shocked to find out it is Nancy Sinatra singing. The lady can seriously sing and I wish more people knew that.

I found and bought this today at a record store in Tampa. The vinyl and sleeve are in excellent condition. I've always loved , I Can't Grow Peaches On A Cherry Tree and Summer Wine. Not to mention You Only Live Twice. Great album Nancy.

My favorite song from that album has always been "Step Aside." That should have been a number one hit for you Nancy because it was for me.
