I totally loved it Rick

I didn't know Andy Williams was ever that good-looking, or that Eddie Fisher was that talented. As for Bobby Darin, I've been in love with him forever, as previously stated on this site. Lots of talent in one place.

Singers not Screamers!!!

Great vid, Rick! Besides a fabulous voice, all three had something I also identify strongly with - none of them were (or even near)
6' 3".

They are all so slim and small

Would that make a good warm-up for singing?

AW is only about 5' 6" I think and EF looks even shorter than him; I think I saw big heels on BD's boots - I gotta get me some of them too. Are you through with yours for the season, Melanie?

You don't need them, George

but I probably won't be wearing them. I like my bones unbroken.

It's weird. We think of today's stars being thin, but it seems like movie stars and singers have always been small. Look at Vivien Leigh, Betty Davis, Nancy, Frank, Bobby, etc.even Marilyn. I gave one of my students who wears a zero some leather pants I've never worn that were a size 4. She couldn't believe the size because they are so small. Marilyn's 12 or 14 was nothing like today's similar size.

She wears a Zero, Mel??? Where do they go? She sounds like the Invisible Woman.

She's a little tiny thing

i went to the county fair with her and her husband, former students who graduate this year. She's from South America and is probably the smallest girl in the school. I bought these leather pants years ago and never could wear them. They will probably swallow her. She's very short, too, and not unhealthy looking.

Lots of girls wear zero's these days. Back to little tiny movie stars!

When Steve Lawrence had to fill in for Bobby Darin at the Copa he told the audience that Darin had an accident......"He fell off his shoes".

Terrific!!

Funny, but I just played "Bobby Darin Sings Dr. Dolittle" yesterday. What a gifted singer.

Now I remember where I've seen that before. I have a DVD "The Best Of The Andy Williams Show" I think I bought it on Amazon.

Anyway, there's hand picked clips from his television show with guests such as Bing, Ella, Henry Mancini, Tony Bennett, Jobim, and Julie Andrews.

three real pro's

Three pro's at the top of their game. Andy's weekly variety show was excellent with outstanding guests.

Rick...

Thanks for the link! Great stuff! I especially liked looking at the Chet Baker clips. The one with Elvis Costello singing " I`m a Fool To Want You/ You Don`t Know What Love Is " is really neat! Now I can accept why Diana Krall married him.Chet Baker was really hard on himself, totally self destructed.

Magnificent set, there. Really, not only are they in great voice but they are generous with each other and never try to pull the rug from under one another.
