Voice1= Ah, the Duquesne Club. You were downtown. I live about 3 miles east of downtown proper within the city limits in an italian neighborhood called Bloomfield. Hope you had a good time!

Is Pre-sense similar to a premonition?

Can't see the painting
I'm not able to see that rendering in your first post. Are my settings incorrect? Would love to see it as I'm also a hard-core fan of Gene Kelly. Thanks in advance...jeane

Jeane, There's nothing wrong with your settings.
Note the date on that post (2001). Many images were lost in a server crash along the way, and this thread was resigned to the archives for a long time before being restored and merged back into the main Forum. The attachment is gone, but the post survives. |

Frank/Gene Kelly relationship
as gene is one of my hero's as i just love his style, musicals, his athletic ability's etc i was watching anchors away this morning and saw the chemistry between them,i remember hearing somewhere frank had to do a certain take countless time because gene wanted it perfect so it must have been quite a thing as frank was a big singing star and gene was the dance man,so i guess there must have been some frictions...as i heard gene was relentless when it came down to getting it right in a dance scene so i am wondering about their relationship.was it good, tense or just professional?
still 2of my heroes and i love the few times they were together in a movie |

Kelly
Of all the legendary Pitt people over the 223 year history of the University -- undergrad, grad, dr., professor -- Gene is either #1 or #2 (IMO). Dr. Salk and his Vaccine is Gene's only "competition" for the top spot! And I'm sure he was a better dancer than the great doctor!

Was thinking last night; Gene Kelly is dance as to what Sinatra is to song. It's probably no coincidence that both men worked off and on throughout their careers even though Sinatra was still in his more youthful phase at Columbia before his persona as the hard swinger had been established. Both men had this masculinity yet ability to display humility and romance in their work.
It's reminiscent of the pairing of Bing and Fred Astaire; similar approaches to their respective fields. |

Good comparison, David.
