Missed it

Went to sleep too early. So sorry I missed Jerry Lewis. I am really concerned about him. I have been a fan of his forever. Didn't know Don Rickles had a book out about Frank. I will check it out. Thanks.

mmmm....Jerry Lewis is no more among the the showbiz icons I still love.

In the Summers book "Sinatra : The Life" (don't told me nothing about it, it was a gift and probably will become a gift to others) he said bad things during an "ad hoc " interview and loaded a lot of "mud" on Frank memory...
Tell me why when Frank was still around he missed this "opportunity" ?

some advise--only believe half of what you see and and a quarter of what you read. It is always best to check this out with the source. Regarding Jerry Lewis!!

JERRY LEWIS turns 80!

Last of an era!
That Crazy Jerry.
........My greatest memory of Jerry is when Sinatra re-united Dean Martin with Jerry on the MDA Telethon on stage! LIVE!
That was Television History....and only Frank could have made that happen.

........... Jerry!................

He was on television in Paris last night as usual charming the locals, promoting his new book Dean Martin et moi, spoke about what a great friend Frank became to Dean after they split, a larger than life character Jerry Lewis...... I like him

been doing the rounds he was on German telly the night before Tony, (big live affair) he seems massive here too (funny he was never such a big deal in the UK as he seems to be here on the continent as far as I can recall, maybe he didn't do bathroom humour?).

AS sprightly an 80 year old as i've ever seen.

Marty

I have never been a fan of his style of humour but I like his up front honesty, they often try to draw him into talking about the war in Iraq, his response invariably is "I don't don't do war I do comedy", I wish I could be so cool

Me neither Tony, I always felt his timing was a little off during his heyday, (reminiscent in the Anglo psyche to Norman Wisdom who obviously took a lot of influence from comics such as Lewis) that said I did think he was superb later on in his career playing it "straight", The King Of Comedy being a particular favourite performance. But it's his encyclopaedic knowledge and recall of early film comedy style and practise which for me is a wonder to behold. I would love him to write more on this subject.

I think he's a very genuine fellah too.

A wonderful man who has done so much for muscular dystrophy as well.
