Mark
Thank you for this information. As you know, Louis Armstrong left quite a mark on New Orleans. We feel very strongly about him here and the musical identity he created for us. I'm glad to see my other favorite city thinks as highly of him.

Thanks Mark
I look forward to seeing them. I have a few photos of places in New Orleans named after Louis Armstrong. The first is Armstrong Park near the French Quarter.

I visited the Museum tonight......
....I drove over to the Louis Armstrong Museum this night at 107th street and 34th ave......Corona NY. I spoke to the director and he told me to look at their website: wwwsatchmo.net. On Wednesday (OCTOBER 15th) at 10 AM will be the official Dedication of the Louis Armsrong Museum !..Many Jazz greats will be there and Mayor Bloomberg as well as other City official will be in attendance. The Louis armstrong Centennial Band under the Direction of David Ostwald will be performing........NYNICK and I will be there. NANCY, Everyone would love to see you there. How about it ?...It's only 20 minutes from midtown Manhattan.......Love to see you there

Would love to be there, but unfortunately, I got to work that day. Too bad it wasn't one of the days during the Columbus Day Weekend. Too bad! And I'm only about 10 minutes from there.

Dennis, I couldn't agree more. I'm just 15 minutes away, but because it's a Wed. I can't make it. Wish it was on a weekend. A report from Mark, I hope. I'm sure it will be a great day in Queens.
Peace, Dean

THESE KING OF ASTORIA POSTINGS
These King of Astoria postings remind me of the old Burma Shave signs that used to dot the American highways. They presented one or two words on a simple posted sign, usually comprised of four and five signs culminating with a closing sign that simply said: "BURMA SHAVE."
An example: BEN ANNA BEN-ANNA SPLIT BURMA SHAVE 'Scuse me while I disappear, Russell Kishi Glendale, California
