I just read the story on Mia. I thought it was a good article and found it interesting in the way she spoke about her life and feelings.

Be careful

Mia is a dear friend of ours.

She is not a nut. She is one of the most intelligent people you could ever meet.
And she is compassionate as well.

She has given more than a dozen kids who would have had nothing (and may have
died without her) a great start in life. Kids with polio and rickets and no homes.

I'd like to see anyone here live up to her legacy.

Woody Allen...A Genious?

He's no genious...He married his step-daughter. That's disgusting.

Thank God Mia left him.

I don't know her and I perceive her as a nut.

Means nothing.

flower child

the only movie mia did that was creditable was "rosemary's baby", i don't remember much else about her acting background.
she epitomized that "flower chid" look that was so popular in the 60's, nice that she's living up to her image in sharing with other humans her love and wealth. joe....

Mia..

I was always a sucker for those tiny thin girls. Robin Penn Wright is another. Must be the cheekbones. By all reported accounts a good Mom.

Woody Allen always made me laugh. I even like his recent films. I like Albert Brooks too. Theres thinking in these films. Woody Allen to me is a part of New York. It's clear he loves the city.

Do you recall Woody's short film after Sept. 11th and during the anthrax scare? Basically a phone conversation where the lady thought she may have anthrax and the reply was "you have herpes, not anthrax..". It always makes me laugh.

Mia's Book

I highly recommend Mia's book "What falls away" published in 1998. There are many interesting stories included and some wonderful photos of FAS!

I suggest that you see Woody's fairly recent film Everyone says I love you with Goldie Hawn,Alan Alda, Julia Roberts and Drew Barrymore. It's one of the best attempts at a modern day musical I've seen lately. This movie comes off like a much older film. It's definitely a tip of the hat to the musical comedies of the 1930s and 40s but it's set in modern times. Woody even includes a tribute to the one and only Groucho Marx in the finale (and the title refers to a song Mr. Marx performed in the 1932 film Horse Feathers!)

Mia Farrow is a gentle, fragile soul and her strength is in her compassion for children.

Woody Allen, in spite of the fact he is talented and creative, makes my skin crawl.

How about this ?

...In todays NY POST, in Keith Kelly's coloum, Woody Allen has been given a $2.7 million dollar advance for a tell all book about his relationship with Diane Keaton, Mia Farrow and Soon Yi Previn. Penquin Riverhead says the deal is valued at $5 Million Dollars. In his proposal, Woody boasted about taboos he had broken - a move that is said to have infuriated Mia. The question now is whether Woody will follow through and write the book. Allen was looking fo $10 million. Penguin says it will be the big book for 2005.........Phil, I'll buy you the first one..........(Lets hope Allen jumps out his window first)...Talk about being a sell out!!!...Doesn't Woody have enought money ?...Does he have to hurt Mia and her children even more ?...My statement stands: Any actor or actress that does a Woody Allen Film is a Sell-Out !......Woody Allen is in the same league as that pedifile priest Gagen from Boston. He might as well be a member of N.A.M.B.L.A. (North American Man Boy Love Association).

Just to keep things straight

Mark

Woody Allen never adopted Soon Yi! She was adopted by Mia Farrow. If your going to chew the rag , get your facts straight.

I have not yet watched "Rosemary's Baby" completely, but I must say that I loved her as Daisy in "The Great Gatsby". She totally inhabited that role. I also think that her love of children is beyond admiration. I'd love to see her in more movies.

As for Woody, I have never been a fan (even before the scandal). I just never found him funny. I actually find his movies to be extremely pretentious, boring and un-original. He basicly plays the exact same annoying character in every single movie with the same issues (very much like Tom Cruise).

Doesn't Give Me a Woody

Since learning of the "values" of Mr. Allen and reading Mia's book, I can't even look at a movie or article he is associated with. He is a four letter word. S I C K

Child abuse is a subject dear to my heart. Throw away the key is what I say. Everyone's opinion matters, mine is he is a sick bastard...

Nancy, delete this post for the word I used if you must, but I stand by it and won't do it myself.

Whether or not Woody adopted or just Mia adopted...

...what kind of low life pervert marries his adopted dauther ?....A real low life pervert creep who is hard up and a cradle robber is the only kind of person that marries a young asian child!...why didn't Woody just go to Vietnam or Manilla and go on one of those SEX Vacations...Where they hook you up with under age prositutes.....WoodYee!!!...and yes, since it was revealed that WoodYee left his wife to marry his adopted daugther , No actor with any sense of Morals should ever consider being in any production with that weird freak Woody. He should be shunned!...like that other freak pervert french film director that had sex with a 14 year old girl and has stayed out of the US ever since!.....Woody, Drop Dead!

It wasn't his adopted daughter. It was Mia's adopted daughter. There is a lot more to the story than just being hysterical and screaming like a maniac.

But why would you care, thats what you do with everything..
