Nancy, AJ and James For Frank

Excellent! This was one of the very best! James Darren was a wonderful guest and AJ too! The Sinatra and Darren songs went together perfectly. I wish the show could last another 4 hours! Thanks, Nancy, Chuck and the whole NFF team for this amazing show!

Tony Darren's singing was excellent. He played his own guitar, by the way.

Jimmy's goodbye was very poignant. What a generous and compassionate man.

Jimmy is one of the best friends anyone can possibly have and now I think you have all had a chance to know him as we do in our family. It delights me that you took your precious Sunday time to listen and get to know this wonderful man and hopefully you heard some recordings of his that are new to you.

You have no idea how I feel being able to present Jimmy to the Sirius XM audience and give him a bit of the respect he deserves, and I'd love to continue to devote shows to other talented musicians who are no longer played on the radio - satellite or terrestrial. Next will hopefully be Vic Damone if I can set it up.

Thank you Nancy for this beautiful show. I was familiar with some of James Darren's music because of N4F, but had not realized that there was a whole body of great work out there. I will be scrounging the net for copies and downloads of my favorites from this show and trying others.
Please continue to give lesser played artists a chance to get back in the spotlight. Good for them, and good for us.

Thanks for another great show.

NFF136 - Wonderful!

The Darren Show was fabulous. A show filled with tons of love, respect, marvelous music, and as Frank used to say, "lots of huggin' & kissin'!" A terrific four hours!

I've always thought that Jimmy was a superb FS-oriented singer, very much in the Steve Lawrence mode, and the cuts on yesterday's show were great: "Good Life," "Lot of Living to Do," "Sophisticated Lady," a gorgeous "Young & Warm & Wonderful," and his version of "Baby, Talk To Me," which is the best recording ever of that neglected Strouse-Adams beauty from "Bye,Bye,Birdie."

The presence of AJ, Jimmy's son, Tony, Jimmy's lovely tribute to Frank, and Frank's three "other-worldly" performances of "Day In, Day Out" made this show very memorable. Nancy, you did yourself proud! From Darren to Darin -- your special friends can sing up the proverbial storm! Major congrats to you, Chuck, Dan, & the Staff!

I know you were doing an important event for veterans with your daughter yesterday so I figured you weren't around, Stanley. How is it you heard this show?

I didn't know that James Darren was also a singer. I knew him because he played int he TV serie "the time tunnel".
